  • Reflect on your experience working with InDesign.

I thought initially Indesign was difficult and confusing, maybe too complex for my basic level knowledge surrounding this kind of software. But over time, i warmed up to using it and understanding how to navigate it. once i got the hang of it, i really enjoyed using it to explore making different layouts and playing with themes. I definitely had to look up how to use certain tools but i still enjoyed the experience of learning how to use indesign.

  • Explain the details that factored into your choice for your final layout.

i personally am a more visual person, and i am more drawn to layouts and graphic design that utilizes less wording and more enticing/engaging visuals. obviously the content itself is important and should have its own emphasis, but i think the visuals should be pretty engaging so it brings attention to the conflict. I chose my final layout to have a consistent visual scheme (same color, similar content, posing, etc.)

I found it helpful to understand all the tools and how to apply them, so it was less intimidating and overwhelming for me. I plan on utilizing indesign for my personal and work related projects; its an awesome creative outlet. I hope to do some work in the communications field related to graphic design.
